This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully as we will not be held responsible in case there is a breach of this policy on your part. All capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy will have the same meaning as ascribed to them in the Terms and Conditions.

    1. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679, and other applicable laws.

    2. We've built privacy, end-to-end encryption, and other security features into this website which ensures that your personal information is safely secured in our servers.
    3. You can decline to provide us with certain types of information by opting out. It is understood that without collecting your personal information (particularly name and contact details), you will not be able to use this website to its full potential.   3. HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
    1. We only collect personal information from you directly through our inquiry form on the website. The customer data is collected through the inquiry form. This is the primary mechanism through which we collect your personal information. In general, we only collect personal data that is absolutely necessary.

  4. HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
    1. We require your personal information to use this data to facilitate a smooth event registration and to arrange logistics. This information will be also used for marketing and promotional purposes. It will also be used to see if you will be interested in joining our future events.
    2. Apart from the above, we may also use information collected through this website for record keeping and quality control.
    3. Unless explicitly mentioned, we do not use your personal information for commercial purposes.
    4. Unless explicitly mentioned, we do not give access to any third-parties your personal information.
  5. DATA STORAGE AND TRANSFER
    1. Your data will be safely stored offline on a protected excel spreadsheet and on Google's cloud server. We will undertake best efforts to protect your personal information and to comply with all applicable laws including the laws of the host country where the server is located.
    2. We will temporarily share the information with the Organizers of the Event.
    3. If at all, we'transfer your data to other countries, we will protect your personal information and comply with the applicable laws.
    4. If there is a change of control in our business or a sale or transfer of business assets, we reserve the right to transfer your personal information to the extent permissible by law. This information may be disclosed to a potential purchaser under a confidentiality agreement. We will disclose information in good faith and only to the extent permitted by law.
  6. DATA SECURITY
    1. Your personal information will be stored in an offline server (excel sheet) and on Google's cloud server which is encrypted and password protected.
    2. We are committed to ensuring that your data including personal information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
    3. Your personal information will remain confidential and apart from the Organizers, no one else will be able to access this data.
    4. We will automatically delete your personal information after a period of 2 years from the date you submit your personal information to us.

  7. COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES
    1. We automatically collect information using "Cookies". Cookies are small data files stored on your device. We use cookies for facilitating faster page loading speeds when customers return to our website. Data is stored locally for this purpose.

      2. To protect our rights and property, our agents, our customers, to enforce our agreements, policies and terms of use.
      3. In an emergency such as to protect the personal safety of any person.
    2. Notwithstanding anything else contained in this clause, we will publish the profiles of speakers on our website (cyberoz.org) after seeking the consent of the speaker. The list of attendees of the Event will not be published externally.
  11. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES & MOBILE APPS
    1. This website may contain links to third-party websites or mobile applications. However, once you leave this website, we have no control over third-party websites and mobile applications. We are not responsible for protecting your privacy on these third-party websites and mobile applications. You should conduct due diligence and carefully read the privacy policies applicable to that website or mobile application in question.
  12. COMPLAINT AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
    1. If you have any complaint or concern regarding your personal information under this Privacy Policy, please contact us at organizers@cyberoz.org. We suggest that you put in the subject line of any email or communication "Privacy Policy" or “Privacy Complaint.” We will respond as soon as possible.
    2. In the event of any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to the use of your personal information, you will attempt in good faith to negotiate a written resolution of the matter directly with us. If the matter remains unresolved for sixty days after notification (via email, certified mail or personal delivery) that a dispute exists, the parties will attempt to resolve the matter via mediation. The parties shall mutually agree to appoint a mediator.
    3. Under no circumstance, will the parties resolve the dispute via arbitration, litigation or jury trial except if required by law.

    1. You have the right to complain to the appropriate supervisory authority if you have any grievance against the way we collect, use or share your information. For example, if you live in Australia, you may complain to the Office of Australian Information Commissioner.
